Jazz from the Soul
Music has always been a huge part of Mary's life. Born into a musical family, where her father was a musician and both her parents devoted to Italian Opera, she listened mostly to classical music during her childhood. She started singing with club bands when she was a teenager. Although very introverted when young, it was easy to sing as she felt that she was just a conduit for the music to flow through and she was able to lose herself in the music. However, once a friend introduced her to jazz, she felt that it was like coming home. Her deep love for the songs she sings comes across to the listener and her aim is always to share this with the audience so they become part of the experience too.
